I Love What I Do

Every once and awhile I will have someone ask me to photograph something outside of my norm and depending on the subject if I think I can handle it (which normally I can) I will go ahead and do it and normally I do it because it is fun. So when my friends dad asked me if I could come to take pictures of concrete trucks I was actually pretty into it! Being out at the lot where all of the trucks were lined up and nice and shiny ready for their photo shoot made me think of the collection of farm equipment I did for a class project, and as I was climbing onto the top of one of the trucks and actually even higher than that I climbed to the top of the building to take some overhead photos I remembered why I do what I do, because there isn't very many 9-5 jobs that allow you to do what you love and allow you to do something different every time. I absolutely love the randomness of being a photographer. I love meeting new clients and also watching my old clients grow up! It is so fun for me to be able to have so many opportunities! It is so fun to look back and think that my very first senior is now working for me and my very first baby is almost 3! Time is flying and I am sure having fun!

Thanks to everyone that has supported me along the way, you are all truly the greatest!

Pretty Eyes Run in the Family

If like Chelsea Dale Photography on facebook you would have seen this first picture with the caption "Pretty Eyes Run in the Family" (if you don't like us on facebook already, hurry hit that link up there and like us!)

But this caption could not be more perfect, I have been photographing this family since E was 3 months old and doing her little sisters photographs for her 6 months was extremely awesome when I noticed she had eyes as blue as her sister!
E helped me out in the beginning with my lighting and I was able to snap a few shots of her in front of the camera and at 21 months old her eyes are still as pretty as ever so I shared a couple photos for you here!
Little A is 6 months already! I can't believe it! It has been amazing to watch this little girl grow up and see how much she admires her big sister, and watch E be the best big sister she can be (secretly sneaking in hugs and kisses whenever she has the opportunity).
Although she is a little unsure of the camera still, I think she photographs magnificently.

Baby B

This might be my tiniest client overall. I met little miss Brooklynn on Saturday for her newborn shoot. I am pretty excited I get to shoot her first year and watch this 9 day old baby girl grow all the way into her first year.

vacation

Hello Happy [almost] Spring!
Some of you may have noticed I haven't blogged in awhile and some of you may have noticed that I have switched back to my old blog! I tried to use the blog connected with my website, but in the end this one is an oldie but a goodie! So I am blogging back here!
Last week I was lucky enough to go to SC for spring break and although it was only 40 degrees most of the time it was still a nice week away.
Now that I am back from break I am super excited for spring to come and outdoor photo shoots to begin! I am hoping to start shooting outside as soon as all of this snow/water disappear!
I am so motivated and on top of things right now! I have also made some business decision that will make Chelsea Dale Photography that much better! The best addition to CDP this winter would have to be my new camera! I am in love with it, and I finally got a chance to take it out while I was on vacation and play with it! I love being able to take photos for fun! So my boyfriend and I put on our coats and we walked down to the beach were we froze and took photos until I couldn't feel my fingers any longer. You would think living in Michigan I would be used to shooting in colder weather, but the breeze on the beach was a lot colder than we would have liked it to be!

So in hopes to bring a little warmth to your home, here are some photos from my vacation!

He was brave enough to get in... later in the week he threw me in too, but unfortunately we do not have any photos of that!

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays From Chelsea Dale Photography

I rarely get personal on my blog anymore with all of the client posting and fun shoots I have been doing, but today as I sat down at my desk and saw all of the work Amanda did for me over the weekend while I was out of town I decided I owe her a big thank you!

As many of you know Amanda has been co-shooting and editing with me for awhile now and as I look at the photos she edits and see how much time and energy she puts into them I realized she loves what she does. I am so please that she declared a graphic design major!

I am so thankful for all of my clients and the continued growth and support of all of you. It is because of you I get to do what I love to do everyday. I know without Amanda helping me I wouldn't be able to do everything else in life. Some of you tell me I am the busiest person they know and I sometimes feel that way myself, but I love it!

So thank you Amanda you are truly the best co-worker, sister, roommate, and best friend I could have asked for!

For those of you that read this and are wondering why I titled it Happy Holidays.
I am offering mini photos shoots in time for the Holidays Dec. 12-16.
Call me or email me for more information
This is a deal you don't want to miss!

Tyler and Nicole {Engaged}

I met up with Tyler and Nicole in East Lansing last week at Michigan State. We thought the campus would be an awesome spot for their engagement photos since the leaves there were a lot better than what we have here in Saginaw. I actually really enjoyed this shoot because it was something new. I know my general way around the campus because I am there every weekend and what I did not know Tyler did so we were able to go to some cool spots!
