Kristen

Meet Kristen
Over the past few years she has become one of my very good friends, and I was overly joyed when she said she wanted to do a photoshoot! Although the weather this week wasn't the best and had so many ideas, but not enough time we still had fun while we were out. We started off on the Peninsula, there is a lookout spot that over looks the entire west bay by a winery, then we continued down the Peninsula to the light house (not everyone knows theres a light house out here!) Although the sun was setting we still managed to get a few good shots! I wish we would have taken more photos, but we came to come obstacles  (and by obstacles I mean a bug attacked Kristen's foot so we had to leave the field)
I always enjoy random sessions like these because not only does it give me a chance to try out new things, but it is also a really fun way to spend the day.

Kayli

So much anticipation for this next blog.
Meet Kayli, I've made her wait to see her pictures because well...I took 500 pictures of her, and I just couldn't choose the best of the best.
Some of you may remember Kayli as a studio model from the winter session, but now she is back and ready to take on her senior year.
Kayli met me up here in Traverse City for her shoot because she wanted her pictures to be unique and different from everyone else in Saginaw. So I racked my brain for a place that fit her personality and  I looked into my book case which is cover with the black and white pictures from the old insane asylum set I did in April. It was the perfect place to take her! She came up on a Sunday evening and met on the private beach with me to do some fun pictures before the sun went down. Monday we met at the old insane asylum and this is where we got to take more photos that showed her true personality.
I've know Kayli for a few years now so I was extra happy when she said she wanted to do her pictures up here, because if you know Kayli you know she isn't a follower and doesn't care what others say, and I NEEDED to capture that in a photo! I had such a fun time with her and we even convinced her sister to get in on some fun! With the wind in her hair and the sun in her face this sure was the perfect weather for a senior session!

A Mackinaw Wedding

So as my mom would say "the flower girl gets married" and I got to be the one to capture it all.
Meet Lyndin and Ryan the two are meant to be together, I joined them up on Mackinaw Island where they were married on the beautiful August 20, 2011. They had an outdoor wedding that went off with no problems. It is amazing how much they adore each other and you can see it.
I am so grateful they invited me to become a part of their special day, as I will remember it forever.

Ryan~ Welcome to the family, take care of my cousin, and we'll all take care of you, we might not be the most normal, but we sure know how to have fun. Congratulations Lyndin and Ryan~ cdp

Family: Traverse City On Location

So I a few weeks ago I was lucky enough that my family was able to come to town. My Grandma, Aunt, and 2 Uncles were in Traverse City, so while they were here they asked me to do some photos of them. what started off as a beautiful day ended up pouring in the middle of the shoot. I was still able to get a good selection for them and wanted to put a sneak peak up here for everyone to see.
Even though my grandma kept saying "I don't like having pictures taken" I think she has some beautiful photos in this bunch.
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Emily

This week I had the pleasure of photographing one of my very good friends Emily.
She had come to town for her birthday weekend so seeing each other and taking some pictures was a must!
Although she kept saying it was sunny, I didn't understand why, because well it was a cloudy day!
But like I always say, cloudy days are the best days for a photoshoot!

It was so nice to see her and I am so glad that we were able to get together to do this shoot.
Emily, I hope you love your pictures and enjoyed your birthday!
Hopefully I will see you soon!
