Riley Mae is back!

Riley Mae was back in the studio yesterday! I love having her here.. it is amazing to look back at the different photos I have taken of her over the past year or so. It is crazy how big and old she looks now. Of coarse the first thing I did when I loaded her pictures was compare the first shoot to yesterday's shoot! Babies Babies Everywhere

Last week I had one of my most interesting, entertaining, and all around most fun photo shoot. 

Not only were baby E and Garrett back in the studio, but they brought their friends with them this time! 

That's right 6 babies! 3 boys & 3 girls all of the babies were born within a few weeks of each other and little miss Ava is just a couple months older. My sister and I joked that we need to take a picture of these 6 again when they graduate from High School just to see how much they have all grown up, and how close they stay. 

I know the mom's thought I was going to go crazy, but honestly I would take all 6 of these babies back together or separately anytime. They were actually some of the best babies I have had in the studio. All it took was a few cheerios, some puffs, and a lot of toys to keep these 6 happy! (There was the occasional bottle swap here and there while their moms weren't looking, but no crazy outburst) All in all this shoot went by extremely smooth! 

Blair {6 months}

Meet Blair! This little cutie is almost 6 months old! You can tell by all of the different hair bows and dresses that entered my studio that she is going to be a girly-girl for sure! Such a sweet baby so happy and loves to pose! I can't wait to go through the rest of these pictures!

Behind the Lens

Sometime when you are looking for a photographer random questions cross your mind. I know this because these question cross everyones mind (even my own), or they are questions I have been asked! 

Who is it I am hiring? What do they look like? How old is she (a question you all ask me!) Are they outgoing? Are they down to earth? Things you wonder about me, that my photos can't exactly tell you! 

I am always open to telling you about myself so today I am making this blog about my sister and I! 

We finally had a chance to get outside and have some fun with the camera! The first random shoot of the season and hopefully many more to come! We are super outgoing and at one point I think I even made the comment that we were strange individuals because normal people don't dance around outside in front of the camera, but to us that is normal! After using 2 rolls of film on me (being in front of the camera and Amanda behind it) we decided that we should get the digital camera out and shoot for fun (although I think I laughed through 1 entire roll of her film) 

If you don't already know Amanda from previous photos of her, from meeting her at your session, or just because she's a pretty cool individual you should know that she has been and will be helping me out more as she is going to go into graphic design! (so exciting for us) Those of you that know us know that we are almost inseparable and best friends so we are excited to see what this journey of hers is going to do for Chelsea Dale Photography! She's pretty cool and better at being in front of the camera than I am!

{S} Family

So it's long over due for my family to have their photos done. The last time we had a family photo taken with everyone in it was 12 years ago. Sadie was a puppy and now we have a new puppy Mya! Although I will admit these weren't the easiest thing to do, being in front of the camera and behind it all at once can be a challenge believe it or not, but we managed! Here is a little peak, you may or may not see us do this again, and try to get the dogs to be photogenic next time! 

So here is a little look at my family! 

Riley's Turning 1

I can't believe it's already been a year since this beautiful baby was born! I knew right away what I wanted to do for her 1st birthday shoot! I knew I had to get a cake from Leesh's Pieces in Bay City. She has done cakes for me in the past and they are always amazing! Riley definitely enjoyed it. She even offered to share, right out of her toes! It must have been good because she stuck her whole face down into the cake. The shoot was so fun, and ended with Riley in the bathtub covered in cake! 

I can't believe how big she got over the past 5 months.

A Chelsea Dale Photo Shoot

So something about me you may not have known is that I am terrible at taking pictures. I try and try to keep my eyes open, but I am actually really bad at it. Even on this day it was completely cloudy and I still had a problem. Thankfully my sister Amanda had some sort of patients this day because I have been dying to get in front of the camera, I have no recent pictures of myself and my about me page needs some. Plus you guys may just want to know what I look like if you didn't already! 

So my sister and I met in town and we took turns taking pictures of each other. My sister does have photography training and experience, but only does it for fun. She is always up to help me out though! So these photos were taken by her, but posed and edited by me. 

My puppy Mya even managed to sneak into a few! 

(too bad my eyes were closed in all the ones she looked cute in!) 

Alright well enjoy some photos of me, and stay tuned for Amanda's pictures. 

I have baby Riley coming back to the studio today.. I can't believe she is almost 1! I still remember going to see her in the hospital when she was born like it was yesterday! I can't wait to see her she is getting so big and I am excited for this shoot today!

Meet Chelsea Dale Photography's newest face

Yup that's right I bought a puppy! 

She is 9 1/2 weeks old. 

Since she is a husky she loves to sleep in cold places she can be found sleeping under the kitchen counter on the tile floor, on top of the air condition vent, or standing as close to an open fridge as possible. 

Today was one of the colder days we have had since she came home and if I would have let her I think she would have been happy just sitting outside all day. I can't wait to see how well she handles the winter. 

In other news: I am back in Freeland full time now. My summer of working in Traverse City was amazing, but it was time to come home. Although I will miss my view and the downtown shopping I am glad to be back. I have 3 sessions this week and I can't wait to meet up with the clients! 

I am also starting to book up my fall slots, and now that I am back full time my schedule is completely open 7 days a week. I can't wait to be shooting more this fall!
